The Makedonia Dark is a highly productive, cold-hardy fig variety originally from the Macedonian border region of Greece. It features a dark purple to nearly black skin and amber to deep red pulp.

Flavor: Moderately sweet with rich, complex notes of dark berries (like cherry and strawberry).
